Happy Spring Break

We hope you are enjoying your spring break.  We know this is a stressful time and many plans have been cancelled but we hope you can find fun things to do as a family at home.  We look forward to reconnecting with you after the break.  Here are some fun ideas of things to do while you are home: Do a puzzle Play a game Create a piece of art from random things around the house (Ask your parents first) Draw a picture Write a letter to someone you care about Go outside into your backyard or onto your balcony and listen to all the sounds of spring around you Write a story Call a friend and chat with them (Ask your parents first) Send your teacher an email Try a new recipe (Ask your parents first) Have a good week.  We will be in touch soon!! March 13, 2020 This week we have spent some time addressing student concerns about the COVID19 pandemic.  Students have been quite worried and anxious.  We have reminded them that for most people this is a mild flu and that they don't need to be stressed about it.  We have discussed proper hand washing and healthy habits that will help prevent the spread of this virus and other colds and flus.  Please take time this weekend to talk with your children and to ease their anxiety at this very stressful time.  One helpful tool we have been using is talking about what our anxiety tells us vs. what we know to be true. Today room 6 & 7 did a study of the author Barbara Reid.  We read some of her books, watched a video of her teaching us how to make her plasticine illustrations.  We then created our own plasticine illustrations. Next week our CPS Resource Officer, Gemma Baker, will be in to talk to our classes.  She will be discussing Start Smart...
